As a little girl, I made my dad wait to mow the grass until I had picked every dandelion
in our yard.
I have never lost my love of the "little weeds of life", the weed or person who is "tossed away" by others as "insufficient and useless".
I believe it is not what we look at, but what we SEE.
My heart has always been wide open to the beauty the Lord gives us.
Especially the smallest beauties in nature.
This week I spent many hours in one of our beautiful parks capturing "weeds" and
praising Him for each beautiful blossom bursting to be noticed.
I cannot begin to tell you the joy I get from finding, photographing and then showcasing my vision,
my world, my heart.....for the Lord I love.
There is so much beauty in nature.
This is but one facet of my love my photography.
My vision.
My love letter of gratitude to the Lord that made it all.
From my heart to yours, may your day be blessed.
Lynn
Yes there is beauty in nature... I see so many things now that I never used to notice... Dandelions are still not my friend though ---but I love many wildflowers...

Hello Lynn,
ReplyDeletefirst, I want to thank you for such heartfelt comment you've left on my blog. I had no idea you loved it so much (thanks for telling me), and I thank God each and every day for being able to share the gifts I have received in this life through my work, and to be able to inspire others as well.
Then, I had to come and see your photos! :) They are really good, the colors are vibrant and the best part is the simplicity of the subjects and your joy in capturing them, which shows through. The last shot is perfection, love it. I also love the words you used to accompany the post- we definitely share the same vision. Thank you once again for your kindness, you have made my weekend for sure!
Blessings,
Monica xo

ReplyDeleteIn the past month or so my photography has taken more of a dreamy look. Wide open aperture and blurred background I love. Much better than these photos. I was going to delete this post because I have come so far in quality and being truer to my vision these last 4-6 weeks. Yet.....in the end I decided not to delete this post. Simply because it shows "progress". Aren't we all "works still under construction by HIM"? I certainly am. Like any other artist/photographer, I do not do all the same type of work. My work ebbs and flows on what HE shows me each day! Blessings!
